Munich, Vienna and Prague!

Hi!!! Start from day one! MUNICH/MÜNCHEN I arrived in Munich, with a bloody heavy pack! The flight was fine and the weather was perfect (surprise surprise considering I was leaving England it would have to get warm!) I got there, smartly looking up what the word in German was for exit and baggage I was doing ok! Richie and I found each pter quite easily! Likely for well known tnc's like Starbucks! Our hotel room was nice, and now looking back on it was very happy to have a bathroom of our own!! Haha Munich was actually beautiful, the weather was lovely and the sun was out most days! I was even lucky enough to get a visitor from my lovely German friend Maike who was an exchange student at school.. And who I haven't seen in 6 years! ( makes me feel old! Haha ) that was really nice! MUNICH-VIENNA/WIEN (sun 17th June) we caught the train to Vienna! The train ride was horrendous!! The trip was meant to take just over 3 hours.. But due to a horrible incident on the tracks it ended up taking us 7 1/2 hours to get there, which involved 5 trains, 1 underground and a bus!!! Hahaha but we made it!!! For obvious reasons we had a dry quiet night that night! Although we had moved from a private bedroom and bathroom to a 20 room dorm!! With one bathroom hahaha. A lot of snoring men!! Was interesting though! The next day (18th)we explode red Vienna, we visited schonbrunn palace (which until rich corrected me I was calling scrotum haha -(cultured I know haha), the theme park which has a 110 year old ferris wheel (we werebt game haha) and te centre of town and soaking in the amazing atmosphere and the old buildings! Vienna is a beautiful town, quiet but one I definitely recommend! We ended up having dinner at a brewery! I actually liked the beer and we had really good burgers! Found a few building (the names escape me at the moment) that were so beautiful at sunset! That day was also a absolute scorcher! 37 degrees! And we felt it haha living in london with no sun, my body didn't expect it. The days go so quickly here and the sun doesn't go down until quite late so what we thought was a early night was actually a 1 am bedtime! Back to our 20 beds haha. The next day (19th) was another day spent wandering around Vienna! We came across some beautiful buildings, the botanical gardens and the parliament house! A bit over the top haha but it's Vienna! It can be.. Another day of amazing sunshine! And Richie was practicing is now trade mark jump ( you will see in all the pictures!!) Rich had picked up a brochure of a pub in Vienna that had €1 beers, Aussie theme with Vegemite toasties and basically everything Aussie themed! Well!! We didn't know what we were in for! We headed out planning to have a drink or two, when we got there we got chatting to a guy at the bar (now our fiend on Facebook and the owner haha) we told him about how where from aus and got chatting! Te whole place was specifically designed for back pakcers, with ularu painted on one wall, statue of liberty on the other all the staff are Aussie! Only two Austrian (owner and one other guy) the bar was crazy with bizarre shots that would never be legal in aus like the fire shot etc! We ended up getting free drinks all night! And the boss ended up drinking with us haha. It ended up being a 5:30am finish! And we were meant to e catching a train at 9:30!! 9:35 (20th) we woke up haha. Feeling very very sorry for ourselves! Our next train didnt leave for another 3 hours! So we checked out and went and layed on the grass! And drank a lot of water! We arrived at the station and hoped on our next train! It looked great!! Had our own both what looked like aircon and power points! It was anther 5 hour trip and 35 degree day! As the train departed we realised (still hung over!) our air con wasn't working!!! And there were no windows, that could be opened!! 5 hours later you can imagine how we were feeling! Posiibly the worst train ride of my life! I actually thought I might have passed out! Probably would have been more comfortable haha. But none the less... We made it! Gasping for air as we hopped off the train but still! PRAGUE/PRAHA We arrived at the station! The first thing we realised is absolutely nobody speaks a word of English! They just smile haha. We got offered a place to stay by an old lady haha :/ after that and our trip we just wanted to find the hostel! Slowly we figured it out and caught the tram. It's actually a very easy hostel to find.. Luckily! It's really nice and new, we walked into our room, (which was meant to be a 10 bed but was 8) and walked into a room full of girls! (4 very pretty English girls! 2 not do pretty Americans!) we both thought they had our booking wrong and we were in an all held room! NO.. Rich was just super lucky! Haha e was the only boy! We didn't do a lot that night we were exhausted! The next day the girls moved out :( but we got to Scottish boys instead who ended up being brilliant! Very funny! We spent our first full day in Prague, one trying to figure out there currency! (which I still can't wrap my head around, it just doesn't feel right giving a 100/200 note and getting small coins haha. Two checking out the sights! We found the national museum, Charles bridge (which there is a statue on it that is a tiny bit gold and people rub, if anyone knows why please let us know haha we are lost!) the castle and te beautiful view! Old town centre.. The list goes on! Pretty much every sight we could! We also visited a torture museum!! Oh my gosh!!! I'm so glad we didn't live in those days! Horrible!! But very interesting! We spent the night watching the sun set over the castle, went and had dinner at the Irish pub and got our faces painted with czech flags to support Czech in the football - they lost haha :/ . Prague is such a beautiful (romantic) city. I will definitely be coming back here when I have a proper camera! (b.t.w my camera broke the first day I arrived in Munich! Yesterday (22nd) we went out to a little (medievalish town) called kutna hora, we didnt really know what to expect but one of my friend told me there was a church of bones! Richie looked it up wrote be left and it said there were 40,000 bones there! Again the lack of English ( and our lack of Czech!) got us lost before we even got to the station!! We were literally sprinting for the train and made it with a minute to spare! It took an hour to get to kutna hora but worth it! The church was incredible! Tiny but FULL! Of bones! All the people had died from the plague 100's of years ago (don't worry the bones had been sterilised!) they were all over the church in patterns and piled up! (the first person to start designing I suppose the patterns was a blind monk! It was so incredible! We then ventured up to the main town, all te church's were gothic, big cathedrals everywhere. The town was so old and in a huge valley! There were even girls doing a fesiv (traditional dance) there music was beautiful (very medieval with flutes n what sounded like sticks, guitars etc) but it filled the whole village!) was very surreal! Again we took a lot of pictures and rich did is trade mark jump! I attempted, but epically!!! Failed! Haha there is one photo of me even attempting a hand stand! (am just not cut out to be a gymnast!) We decided to walk back to the train station and we got half way when I had an odd feeling the train left every hour! So I made Richie pic up te pace! Again we got te train by a Minute or two! (my spider senses were right!) Back to Prague it was! We got into prague and went for another wander down town, this time there were a whole heap of people, bands, food and alcohol! (rich n I are always in te right place at the right time it seems, first in Munich we were there the weekend of there traditional yearly day! And now we had walked into another mass festival!) we had a bite to eat and went and checked out the markets, and the lemon wall (graffiti wall) and the bridge of padlocks (newest craze in most cities!) very sweet! Today (23rd)we just spent wandering around the old town. Our Scottish friends checked out - heading to Vienna! We watched the big clock tower (yes I forgot the name) chime and do its little hourly ceremony, where saints circle around inside the clock and the golden chook, clucks haha and a man dressed in medieval dress plays the trumpet on the highest (reachable) part of the tower! We then thought (why not climb the stairs to the top! So off we went! I (which has never happened before got incredible scared! But we made it and the view over Prague was so beautiful! We could see everything! At 6pm we watcheds the ceramony from the top! It was great to see the crowd waiting for the chime! As we still have quite a lot of Czech knowns left we decided to spoil ourselves and have a nice dinner. I had salmon! (very nice) and rich had potato pasta something (but they were both delicious and only 525 including drinks which is $25 has unbelievable! Tomorrow we are off to Berlin! Another 5 hour train trip I think! Fingers crossed this one is better! Alex is visiting when we go to Paris which will be lovely :) but he is goog to bring my comp so I will be able to load pictures!!! For now try and check out my face book! Again sorry for the spelling! Hope everyone is well at home!! Bye for now and much love! Xxx

Time to travel!!

HI!! So I've sort of figured out how to work my blog on my phone :) although I am in Germany so all the directions are in German hahah oh dear. It's been such a quick few weeks! I think my last post I was talking about rich just getting to london (or just arriving) now he's been and gone and I'm now with him in our first stop... Munich! First I'll recap you on what's been going on. Richie arrived in london. He was only there one week and I had to work alot of it so it was a pretty hectic week! We saw all the main sites, big Ben, marble arch (missed hide park because I got lost haha hopeless!) but was a great week! He even got to experience going out with the Novus crowd! To much free alcohol haha and he couldn't get over how pretty my friends were. Which is always sweet! Then he was off!!! Spent the week in Zeeland in holland with his German friend for a week (similar to schoolies) he loved it, they went for bike rides and layed on the beach, etc. he seemed to love it! Minus the language barrier and the vegetarian meals!! Haha spinach and egg for dinner just really wasn't cutting it! Mean while I was in drizzly cold England (still!) trying to get ready for our 2 month adventure! I was suppose to do our itinerary but I found it quite difficult haha to much for me! I did try my best though and we har a rough idea of whet we want to go! We have been in Munich since Wednesday, spent Thursday looking around munich! I was trying to impress rich with my knowledge haha and everyone who knows me knows my knoweldge is pretty scattered hahaha. The buildings are amazing though! Everything is so huge! I've also tried my first German beer, in a stein (which we found out they don't actually call it a stein! So we have now been asking for a very big beer haha) I was already feeling the affects of the beer as soon as I finished it! Haha they are big beers! Yesterday we spent half the day the solar conversion. It was actually incredible the technolgy is amazing! After that we spent the afternoon lazing in sun! After lazing around we went to what was (on the net) the best biggest snitzel!!! (well done Richie!) I will try upload a picture but these snitzel (mine was a bit smaller, thank god) but they were the size of my head!!! They filled the whole plate!! Crazy! We finished and sat on the restaurant for an hour or so! Haha then could barely walk home so we stopped in a massive park with huge huge buildings so we decided to take pictures on the timer (I'll also try to put those photo's up as they are beautiful of I do say so myself haha. Tonight we are meeting with one of my friends (Maike Dern, exchange student) which Wil be very exciting!! And she speaks German which helps haha. Then off to Vienna for 4 days, Prague 5, Berlin 5, Amsterdam a few nights then off to Hagen (Germany) to do riches friend Laura's makeup for her formal :) Will be lovely. Then Paris, Spain, Italy and if we get there (fingers crossed) Greece! But that feels like forever away! Hope all is well back in aus, sadly I've heard the sun isnt shining!!but it is winter so it's expected. Xx Lots and lots of love (will definitely try to upload photos :) X P.s again exuse spelling mistakes! I phone has a mine of its own sometimes x

weekend in the country side

walk through the park

Rupert getting into the chocolate buttons!!

The massive tree branch that had been split, not so good for the fence but great for a bridge haha

The scenery

Alex's well impressed face as we were going back to London, I'm not sure whether it was because of the fact that he had to start work at 8am or the fact that (as you can tell in the next picture, he was sitting next to a weirdo!)

Some weirdo! (hour long train rides do me no good!)

weekend in the countryside

Howdy!
Well, where do i start. these last few weeks have been so busy! it is less than 2 weeks before Richie gets here and less than a month before we start to travel! I have decided to spend a bit of time in Greece, i cant remember if i mentioned that last time or if its something I've decided since my last post, but i need the sun and i think it will be amazing :)
I spent the weekend at Alex's Mum's house in Amersham, was so nice to just get away from all the hustle and bustle of London, you don't realise how much there is until you get out. was such a lovely weekend, we spent most of it just relaxing, took the dog for a walk which was so funny, he is so full of energy!! also went to lunch for his dad's birthday at a beautiful country club (all you can eat buffet!!) and then spent the day yesterday walking around his dad's property, the house and garden is so beautiful (the garden reminded me of secret garden ha ha) i worked Saturday night and didn't get out of work until 8am!! was such a long shift, so i hadn't slept, so i don't exactly remember the trip there, except supposedly on the bus ride to his mum's after being on the tube for an hour, the bus stopped suddenly and i smacked the back of my head on a pole ( i am oblivious to all of this, which is probably a good thing!) was very nice though, we stayed until Tuesday and headed back to London last night. first thing i hear as we got into the tube station in London is a crazy man, on some rant ha ha, welcome to London!
Right now though I'm sitting in bed Listening to Nora Jones (always reminds me of mum :), i also spent the morning looking at aunt Kerrie's photo's of Alaska and Canada, so beautiful!) I am now about to get up and ready to FINALLY!!! get my bank account sorted! one of my bosses brothers works in a bank here, but Jay has been away for 6 weeks so he is finally bank and finally getting my bank sorted! very happy!
xxx speak soon

I finally saw Big Ben!

Picadilly circus, standing next to cupid (Harry where are you? haha)

Trafalgar Square

also Trafalgar Square

I tried to get in front of the lion but it was wet and slippery and i had mum's voice in my head telling me it was a bad decision haha (thank you mum)

Big Ben inside the London Eye (not going to lie, i've been sitting here for 10 mins trying to remember the name of the london eye, was about to just write big white turning circle haha, oh dear)

Houses of Parliment

Long time no talk!

Hi!!!
I know it's been such a long time! I think I've had the most hectic few weeks, known to man!
i found a place which is nice but i've had absolutely no Internet there except for my phone which is very difficult to do this blog on, Internet actually finally gets there today! which will be great! means i will be able to blog more.
My phone has actually also completely died! its been playing up for the last week, i had it restored so i lost everything and it was still playing up and then yesterday it just turned it self off and had some funny words come up haha, so mum dad i am safe and if you need to ring me Alex (nice boy i met- no not i'm not getting married haha) lent me a old phone and the number is 07528837586. i will try to take my phone into the apple store today or tomorrow. its funny to because when i was telling Josh (em's boyfriend- just got back to London from travel)about my phone, apartment etc (a lot has happened the past week) he said you've had so much bad luck. I haven't even noticed it haha :S
but in more exciting news!
I have met some absolutely amazing people, i cant really remember what i told you in my last blog, but Dani a girl from work is lovely, we do quite a lot together also Paula from work (Estonian) is great, we are planning a trip to Denmark in the next month! she has a friend there who came and visited a few weeks ago, which will be so fun i'd love to see Denmark! (hopefully it will get a bit warmer between now and then)
Rich will be here at the end of the month! so i will just be working my bum off so when he comes over we can do some travelling! One of my friends from Aus is also here at the moment. everything is happening, never a dull moment.
I met a sweet English boy and i got a marriage proposal the other day as well haha of a 32 year old haha i told him where he could find my ring and that its 12,000 haha(just realised there is no pound button on my computer!)they love the Australians.
besides all that I am sick... AGAIN! the weather makes it hard i think, and inside is all warm then you walk out and your frozen!
I'm also realising how used to English i'm getting, I don't notice the accent at all and the other day em sent me a msg with $20 in it and i automatically read it as pounds, dear dear haha.
It's bank holiday this weekend, we were thinking of going to Brighton but the weather is looking miserable!! so maybe just do some fun activies around London!!
I will put up pictures soon i promise!
xoxo love lots and miss you all and will speak soon!
p.s i'm not sure if it will work but if you get on this you may be able to look at my pictures i've up loaded hopefully! xxx
